Deployable bundle modulus structures with reciprocal linkages for emergency buildings

چکیده
Deployable structures are an ideal solution for emergency buildings because of their lightness and compactness, allowing them to be transported wherever they needed. Generally the most frequent solutions use Scissor-like-Elements (SLE), but in this case bundle modules is proposed. These systems were developed by Pérez Piñero, have hardly been used since then. The article analyses problems present, as well advantages reducing number bars linkages required, which allows design simpler more economical structures. geometrical mechanical conditions triangular square analysed, typologies that may arise. A calculation method also analyse type structure. Finally, performance a flat grid analysed analytical experimental way using reciprocal links at its ends. Both theoretical calculations tests allow us demonstrate viability efficiency new

Deployable 3D linkages with collision avoidance
We present a pipeline that allows ordinary users to create deployable scissor linkages in arbitrary 3D shapes, whose mechanisms are inspired by Hoberman’s Sphere. From an arbitrary 3D model and a few user inputs, our method can generate a fabricable scissor linkage resembling that shape that aims to save as much space as possible in its most contracted state. Self-collisions are the primary obs...
متن کاملinvestigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures
deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...
Deployable Soft Composite Structures
Deployable structure composed of smart materials based actuators can reconcile its inherently conflicting requirements of low mass, good shape adaptability, and high load-bearing capability. This work describes the fabrication of deployable structures using smart soft composite actuators combining a soft matrix with variable stiffness properties and hinge-like movement through a rigid skeleton....
متن کاملClosed-Loop Deployable Structures
This paper is concerned with a novel kind of deployable structures that form closed loops that fold into a bundle of bars using simple hinges. These structures, first envisaged by Dr J.M. Hedgepeth, have potential applications for ultra-lightweight solar arrays, solar sails, and radar structures. A systematic study of the kinematics of closed-loop structures is carried out, and a scheme for sim...
متن کاملLow-Cost Hinge for Deployable Structures
This report presents a study of a recently proposed low-cost hinge for deployable spacecraft appendages. The hinge consists of one or more pairs of steel carpenter tapes (tape springs) connected to a rolling hinge made from plastic " wheels " connected by steel cables (Rolamite). This hinge is known as Tape-Spring Rolamite (TSR) hinge. The report includes: a brief review of the relevant backgro...
